"I can remember vividly discovering role-playing games more than 35 years ago! I can see the room smell the dusty book covers, and hear the clatter of the dice. It was first-edition D&D and it was love at first roll! Since then, I have spent a life dedicated to imagination: writing games for my friends, my own children (games are great for teaching maths, science, creativity, and moral development) and most recently for the wider gaming community. I created StoryWeaver as a conduit for passionate people to publish games in a friendly, constructive, community... but one that offers ruthless feedback and attention to detail during the game production process. StoryWeaver is committed to gaming excellence. We all are. And we hope it shows in our products!"

"Reality - the place invented for those that can't handle Roleplaying. Imagination has been important to me all my life. I'm always thinking of new things, variations on situations, new and better ways of doing, being, and creating. That's what's fun about life, and so when I discovered RPG's in my mid-teens, I knew I'd found a hobby for life. My book shelves - and now the contents of my iPad - reflect this, and as I love writing and telling a good story, it was only a matter of time before I would be writing my own games.
My chance came when Joe needed someone to edit the Rapture Core Rules. Great piece of work, but needed a good vetting. 30 hrs later, and I'd edited the entire 127 pages. He was very pleased that I'd done that, but the real turning point came when I asked him if he'd ever actually PLAYED a character in his game. The answer was, surprisingly, 'No.' So I blurted out 'Well I'll just have to run it for you, won't I?' Joe's eyes lit up at the prospect. Great, run it this Saturday night! It was Late Thursday night, and I had work the next day. Ooookay... I said, a little reluctantly, and so I found myself on Saturday afternoon sitting in front of a blank MS OneNote page... What do I run? What would be cool? How can I impress the games CREATOR? It seemed like a rather uphill battle. I consulted my muse. She slapped me around and gave me a kick-posterior story, which is now on my writing credits down there. Transit to Perdition. If you haven't checked it out yet, you don't know what you're missing! So I ran the game for Joe, and when he finally worked out all the twists and sub-plots (at 1:30am in the morning during the first game, no less) that had thankfully fallen together in my flurry of creative outpouring, he insisted I publish it with StoryWeaver. And now here I am. And I'm LOVING IT!
GAME ON! "

"A book is a gateway to another world, so it is said. I knew that from an early age; if I was to be found anywhere, it would be within another world -- fine, found reading a book. Within another world sounds better to me, always has, for that's the lure of the book... that whilst we are engrossed in the novel, we are there, living the characters' lives. However, some of the books I read weren't satisfying; I thought I could do better, so I gave it a shot.
And from that first moment, I was hooked. There I was, creating situations, characters, and paragraphs that would engross someone just like I had been engrossed. I wrote and then wrote some more, every year spending more and more time on the craft. My first novel attempt came in 2000, followed by several more in the next two years. In 2005 I discovered NaNoWriMo, which has become an annual tradition for me, producing promising drafts of novels. All these novels are in various stages of editing and I'm hopeful that I'll find a publisher for them in the near future.
I met Ray through NaNo, and knowing of my successes, he asked me if I'd be interested in joining Storyweaver. I'd only gamed a little at that point, but as before, the idea that I'd be creating something that would draw people in had me itching to join. Having played Ray's Adventure, Transit to Perdition at Sydcon, I'm determined to master the editing and page layout processes so that I can move on to writing adventures and perhaps have him as frustrated with my design (in a good way) as I was by his, in time!
That's just one possibility for the future of which I fully intend to take advantage!
As for you, dear gamers... be warned. I consider myself to be mastering the weaving and wielding of virtues and darkness, having been doing such for four years now. Nothing I write will be easy, in fact it may even look downright futile. But should you persevere and look for it, there may well be a ray of hope... your path to victory in my games."

"Perhaps because I had grown up in the some exotic locales without television until I was a late teenager (gasp!) role-playing was a natural choice and what I'd been doing in my imagination all my life. The first thing that I ever wrote on a computer was a classic D&D adventure that still makes me laugh when I think about it. Thirty years on and I'm still doing it, only the tools I use have improved (I also like to think my writings have also improved over time!) Since then I have invented home grown role-playing systems and tools, and crafted settings and adventures, some of which I sold through another publisher. Joining Storyweaver was, for me, about finding like minds who shared the same passion for making games that people love to play, and bringing those games to life with the quality of production that they deserved."
